Introduction

I totally understand that reading the Privacy Notice of your wedding cake designer might not be top of your ‘fun ways to spend an evening’ list, but there’s really important information in here, so I’d urge you to grab a cuppa and have a good read.

When does Christina May Cake Design collect your personal data?

We collect personal data from a number of sources including:

  • wedding exhibitions, and events where we’ve met you in person
  • referrals from existing clients, other organisations and wedding planners

The personal data we collect is pretty basic – we only take what we need in order to deliver our luxury cake services to you. When interacting with us via one of the sources listed above, we’ll collect some or all of the following:

Use of ‘cookies’

Our website, like many other websites, uses cookies. Much as I would like this section to be discussing biscuits and other baked goods, in this case, the cookies in question are small pieces of information sent to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow our website to recognise you when you visit. How long will we keep your personal data?

Whenever we collect or process your personal data, we’ll only keep it for as long as we need it in order to provide our delicious cake services to you, or for as long as is required for regulatory legislation reasons. At the end of that retention period, your data will either be deleted completely or anonymised, for example by aggregation with other data so that it can be used in a nonidentifiable way for statistical analysis and business planning.

We do not share personal data with any third parties or bodies, organisations. We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.
